Asana Names and the Language of Yoga (now called The Language of Yoga)

Note: The original Asana Names and the Language of Yoga was a 180 page spiral-bound book with separate double-CD, and came in a box.
The new version is called The Language of Yoga and is a hard-back book with a spiral-binding inside, with both CDs inside the back of the book.

Review in Elephant by Rose Taylor, Winter 2005

As a new student to Sanskrit and the person accused by our dear Editor of being a "yoga nerd," I was excited to review this product. Happily, I was not disappointed. Beautifully presented in a blue and gold box, this companion to our practice contains a 180-page spiral-bound book and two CDs, giving you beautifully pronounced audio of chants and yoga-related vocabulary along with English translations, transliteration, Sanskrit lettering and simple line drawings of postures. What more can you want? A helpful pronunciation guide? Just look in the back of the book. A complete depiction of the three series of Ashtanga? Included. Yet still compact and easy to carry around? Done.
